The first batch of trolleybuses "Admiral 6281.01" arrived in Kursk. By the end of March, 15 new trolleybuses of this model will be added to the city's public transport system. This year it is planned to completely renew the rolling stock of the city's bus and trolleybus fleet.

Trolleybus "Admiral" version 6281.01 with increased autonomous travel and aluminium components in the interior is designed for 85 people and has 34 seating places. These machines are manufactured at the Engels Electric Transport Plant (part of PK Transport Systems).

A unique traction battery adapted to Russian operating conditions allows the trolleybus to travel at least 20 kilometres on its own without connection to the contact line, depending on road and weather conditions and loading. The weight of the energy storage system is 100kg less than foreign analogues. By lightening the battery pack and placing it compactly on the roof, it was possible to avoid a noticeable reduction in passenger capacity and at the same time increase the fire safety of the trolleybus. The use of aluminium alloys in the interior design helped to reduce the fire load of the cabin and at the same time increase the service life of the interior structures.

Ergonomic light interior, one hundred per cent low-floor design, additional lighting of spacious storage areas, three wide doorways, modern multimedia systems, USB-connectors for charging mobile gadgets, as well as climate control systems working in automatic mode - all this ensures passenger comfort.

In addition to Kursk, PK TS trolleybuses are operated in eight other Russian cities - Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, St. Petersburg, Samara, Saratov, Ivanovo, Bryansk and Ryazan.
