In the spring of this year, the aluminium can production plant Arnest Packaging Solutions Vsevolozhsk became a participant in the national project "Labour Productivity". The enterprise has signed corresponding agreements with the Government of the Leningrad Region and the Federal Competence Centre. Thus, the plant plans to improve production efficiency, reduce costs and, as a result, increase output through the introduction of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement of business processes.

Participation in national projects became possible for the company after the change of ownership. In September 2022, the Vsevolozhsk plant became part of the Arnest group of companies along with other Russian assets of the American company Ball Corporation. In total, Arnest includes three aluminium beverage can plants in the Moscow, Leningrad and Chelyabinsk regions, a project to build a plant in the Ulyanovsk region and Russia's only aluminium lid plant. At the beginning of this year the company got a new name - Arnest Packaging Solutions Vsevolozhsk.

Dmitry Yalov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Leningrad Region Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activity: "We see how the national project "Labour Productivity" is gaining momentum in the Leningrad Region. The heads of enterprises see the undoubted advantages of already implemented projects and "try them on". In the current economic conditions, it is particularly important that it is possible to increase output, reduce process times and save money with the help of non-financial instruments, just by reconfiguring certain processes. Today, more than 70 enterprises of the region are already participating in the national project; experts from the Federal Competence Centre and the Regional Competence Centre are working with them; they are transferring experience that can be scaled and implemented in almost all areas of the company's activities".

The Vsevolozhsk plant produces a highly demanded product - aluminium packaging for beverages. The main feature of the company is a unique line for the production of 0.33 Sleek cans. This format is the most popular with soft drink manufacturers. It is from the factory in Vsevolozhsk that such cans are delivered to the company's partners all over Russia.

The strain on our facilities is very high, so we take every opportunity to improve efficiency and increase our output."

The enterprises of Arnest Group were among the first to join the national project "Labour Productivity". In 2018-2019, the company's perfume and cosmetics plants in Stavropol and Novomoskovsk in the Tula region became participants in the federal programme "Increasing Labour Productivity and Supporting Employment" in their respective regions. In 2022, an aluminium can plant in the Chelyabinsk region joined the national project following a deal with Ball Corporation.
