Pavel Moryakov Speaks at the Aluminium Roundtable

Pavel Moryakov, CEO of Moskabelmet, will again join the event organised by the Russian Aluminium Association. The round table discussion is titled Aluminium as a Catalyst for Advanced Technology Development.

The meeting will take place on August 9 from 14.30 to 15.30 GMT +3 and will be live-streamed on строителироссии.рф. The roundtable discussion will take place on the eve of the Day of the Builder (August 13). The meeting’s relevance is underscored by the fact that the construction industry is one of the main consumers of aluminium in the domestic market, accounting for 220,000~230,000 tonnes of metal annually, which represents 30% of the total consumption in the country.

The event guests will discuss advanced aluminium solutions and their benefits, such as energy efficiency, eco-friendliness, cost-effectiveness, durability and aesthetics, and their applications in construction projects.

The roundtable participants are manufacturers, architects, developers and experts from the aluminium industry. Among them are:

• Nikolai Shumakov, President of the Russian Union of Architects and the Union of Moscow Architects, Chief Architect, Mosinzhproekt Institute, and member of the Council for Culture and Arts under the President of the Russian Federation;
• Evgeny Vasiliev, Vice Chairperson and Head of the Transport Infrastructure Division of the Aluminium Association;
• Alexey Efimov, Head of the Technical Regulation and Government Affairs, Aluminium Association, and Chairperson of the TC 099 Aluminium Committee;
• Sergey Zabegaev, Deputy CEO of Albes-Centre;
• Irina Bakhtina, Director for Sustainable Development at RUSAL;
• Leonid Borzenkov, Chief Architect of Metrogiprotrans.

Pavel Moryakov, CEO of Moskabelmet and Head of the Energy Sector, Aluminium Association, will discuss how the use of aluminium and 8xxx series aluminium alloy can reduce project costs, the main advantages of aluminium cables, and share real-life examples of Moskabelmet’s transition to aluminium alloy cables.

Pavel Moryakov regularly talks about the use of aluminium and aluminium alloys in the cable industry and the application of aluminium cables in construction, urban lighting and other sectors at many industry events. These include a meeting in the State Duma, the INNOLITE-2022 Conference in Kazan in May, and others.
