Cherepovets trams with aluminium interiors are now on the routes in Cherepovets

Cherepovets received eight single-section fully low-floor trams model 71-911EM "Lionok".The 'Lion Cub's' ergonomic interior is made using aluminium alloys, which makes it not only durable but also fireproof.

The "Lionok" model trams are manufactured by the company "PK Transport Systems".The rolling stock for the Cherepovets tram fleet was assembled at two production sites of the company - the Tver Mechanical Plant of Electric Transport and the F.A. Nevsky Electric Transport Plant.Pirotsky.The company delivered twelve low-floor trams to the city in 2021 and eight in 2022.In addition to Cherepovets, Lionok trams with aluminium interiors are operated in Moscow, Izhevsk, Ulan-Ude, Perm, Ulyanovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg and Kursk.

It is no secret that the quality of rail public transport is one of the most important indicators of the city's development and residents' comfort.In this sense, Cherepovets have something to be proud of."The Lionback is a modern, energy efficient, environmentally friendly and elegant new generation tram.It has everything for passengers' comfort - spacious interior, ergonomic seats, wide door openings, USB sockets for charging mobile devices, well thought-out media complex, modern climate control system.The tram developers paid special attention to reduced mobility passengers.For their convenience, the Lionback is equipped with a folding ramp and a driver call button.

The tram's smooth running is ensured by a unique low-floor bogie.The passive safety system helps minimise the risk of injury to the driver and passengers, as well as reducing damage to machinery in accidents.

The driver's cabin has also been designed to meet all modern comfort and safety requirements.The cab has an ergonomically designed seat and the most frequently used buttons are placed on the armrest.All information about the tram's technical condition, as well as data from cameras - an external video control system for passenger boarding and disembarkation zones and traffic situation monitoring - are displayed on monitors.
