From 29 to 30 May 2023, a delegation of the Aluminium Association took part in the MADE IN RUSSIA + INNOPROM Multi-industry Business Mission, which was held in Saudi Arabia. The business programme was organised by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Export Centre and the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Russian delegation was headed by Alexey Gruzdev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

A business programme, exhibition exposition and b2b meetings were organised on the Chamber's site. The member companies of the Association presented their products to foreign partners: aluminium systems for translucent constructions, lighting equipment for outdoor lighting and aluminium cable products.

The two-day programme of talks included b2b meetings with Saudi construction companies, representatives of large Saudi holdings, government agencies, local market consultants. Possible ways to promote Russian aluminium solutions in infrastructure and construction projects in the country were discussed.

The Aluminium Association sees great potential for exports to the Middle East. Participation in the business mission allowed Russian companies to get first-hand information about the situation in the Saudi Arabian market, promising infrastructure projects, and export opportunities. The participants of the business mission will continue active work on the development of this export direction.
