Moskabel to present its products in Yakutsk

29.11.2022 - Moskabel

Moskabel will present its products in Yakutsk Moskabelmet Group of Companies (a member of the Aluminium Association) will present its products for use in northern regions in Yakutsk, at the Northern Sustainability Forum.

Sergey Kislyuk, Director for Development at Moskabel Plant, will speak at the strategic session of the Northern Forum ‘Distributed Energy for Remote and Isolated Territories in the Far East and the Arctic.’ He will talk about special cable solutions for the distributed energy sector in the Arctic zone and the Far East region.

The session was moderated by Maksim Gubanov, Head of Energy and Housing and Utilities, Far East and Arctic Development Corporation. Participants include representatives of the Energy Committee of the Russian State Duma, the Russian Ministry of Energy, JSC Urals Turbine Works, LLC ArcticPowerCapital and LLC Fizika Tepla.

In his presentation, Sergey Kislyuk will reveal the advantages of Moskabel Plant’s products, which help to effectively implement development projects in permafrost, boggy terrain, and ultra-low temperatures. The company will present a total of six solutions at the forum in Yakutsk.

These include cables with aluminium and aluminium alloys for installation in weakly load-bearing soils and featuring a low weight. And also, they include power cables with armouring made of corrugated seamless metal tubing — for laying in permafrost regions, in rocky, boggy areas as well as for underwater laying and river crossings. CRYOSIL cables, which withstand extremely low temperatures of down to minus 80°C in operation and down to minus 50°C during laying. A stationary cable system for monitoring the condition of the subgrade, designed for routine observations of the embankment and subgrade of railway tracks on permafrost soils. Distributed pipeline monitoring cable systems that help reduce accident risks and minimise the impact on the fragile nature of the North. A permanent sensor-cable well monitoring system that enhances understanding of reservoir processes and updates the field model with a constant stream of data, resulting in increased production rates.

Moskabelmet is ready to actively contribute to the solution of the tasks set, providing products that take into account the specifics of areas with extreme climates and fragile ecosystems.
