On April 22, a laboratory class was held for the last-year students of the Bauman MSTU in TENA Technology Centre on the subject 'Industry 4.0: Digital Welding Production'. A report was presented to the future industry experts on the prospects and opportunities of welding production management based on the WeldCube Fronius comprehensive monitoring, control and management system.
The practical part of the class based on Fanuc robotised cell with TPS 500i Fronius welding system demonstrated fine-tuning of a welding technology using WeldCube system that recorded data of welding modes and parameters, consumption of welding materials and gases, traced deviations from the specified processes, assessed the productivity and many other things that allowed positioning WeldCube as a lean production tool. So, in the course of work, the students looked at Fronius advanced solutions that even now bring production lines to a new digital level of implementing the Industry 4.0 and lean production concept.
