Last Thursday, 18 May, a new open excursion within the framework of the project "Open Mosprom" took place on the territory of "Moskabelmet". The guests learnt about cable production, saw new art objects and... listened to a live performance of a pianist! listened to a live performance by a pianist!

On this really warm May day, the territory of the industrial cluster, located six kilometres from the Kremlin, was visited by almost 30 residents of the capital. The guests plunged into the atmosphere of the cable enterprise and saw with their own eyes how the products are manufactured, which are used in the Moscow Metro and supplied to strategically important facilities across the country. The tour participants also saw newgraffiti that decorate the wall and columns of the plant shop and attended the opening of the live music season in the Moskabelmet square. A pleasant summer mood was set by classical and jazz compositions performed by pianist Evgeny Bazhenov, a laureate of many competitions and festivals.

Excursions within the framework of the project "Discover Mosprom" have been held at GK Moskabelmet since 2019. During this time, not only Muscovites and guests of the capital who are interested in the development of the capital's industry, but also MPEI students, as well as Muscovites of the older generation - participants of the Moscow Longevity programme - have visited the territory of the enterprise. "Moskabelmet" also conducts excursions outside the project "Discover Mosprom": for example, timed to the Day of Moscow Industry or organised as part of the project "Unknown Dangauerovka" from Lefortovo Museum. A series of excursions to the territory of Moskabelmet with a visit to the photo exhibition "Aluminium in the cable industry: from electrolysis to finished cable" was timed to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the Russianaluminium industry, which was celebrated last year.

Moskabelmet's open excursions are one of the effective ways of interaction with citizens and popularisation of the capital's industry, as well as part of the active social work carried out by the enterprise.
