The largest furniture, fittings and upholstery industry exhibition in Russia and Eastern Europe Mebel-2022 will take place at Expocentre Fairgrounds on November 21–25, 2022. The Aluminium Association continues to develop constructive cooperation with colleagues from the Association of the Furniture and Wood Processing Industry (AFWPI).
The business programme on November 23 at 11:00 will include a round table discussion on import substitution, including presentations of projects on critical components for the furniture industry and wood processing industry (fittings, fabrics, chemicals). Participants in the round table will include representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Department of Light Industry and Timber Complex, the Association of Furniture and Wood Processing Enterprises (AFWPI), the Agency for Technological Development, Digital Technologies JSC, TPK Felix LLC, and Natalia Kudenkova, Expert of the Aluminium Association, and Head of Consumer Goods Sector. In her presentation ‘New Vectors of Development of Metal Furniture in the Russian Federation’ she will raise the questions of development of domestic tourism: creation of light and folding furniture for leisure and tourism, OUTDOOR furniture for country houses and recreation, metal furniture for hospitality industry in conditions of increased salt load (sea coasts), special furniture (medical furniture, furniture for emergencies).
The Aluminium Association invites Russian furniture manufacturers to cooperate and create new products based on aluminium.
