Architects, designers, developers, leading experts in construction technical regulation, manufacturers of building structures, materials, modular homes, and industry associations dealing with the Russian modular housing market will meet on December 12 at the Central Architects Club.

They will discuss the key issues of modular construction in Russia such as technical regulations, new technologies, and eco-friendly, energy-efficient materials.

Advanced construction solutions for housing, public amenities, and tourism infrastructure should align with sustainable development values and use environmentally friendly materials, minimising their environmental impact. This is an opportunity to build where conventional construction technologies are inefficient.

New technologies for the rapid construction of housing and public buildings will serve the national interest by stimulating housing development in small towns and remote areas, and by enabling the rapid and high-quality development of public and tourist infrastructure.

Rather new but boosting modular constructions badly need attractive architectural and engineering solutions. The Russian Union of Architects and the Moscow Union of Architects are announcing the Russian National Open Architectural Competition for the concept of modular, aluminium buildings.
