Aluminium frame covers for the external air conditioner units are being installed on the facades of the new houses constructed within the framework of the Moscow housing renovation program. The Aluminium Association takes active part in the project and MasTTech company (Masttech trademark) acts as the main supplier of these solutions.
The company has already installed more than 500 frame covers for air conditioners on the facades of multi-storey apartment blocks built within the Moscow renovation program.
Not only such frame cover protects the air conditioner against elements and vandalism, but it also fit it into the overall architectural concept of the building. Aluminium structures have a nominal useful life of 50 years and are highly resistant to corrosion.
“The expanding application of aluminium solutions in construction is perfectly natural. Thanks to this light and corrosion-resistant metal, we can increase the service life of different things, and our life becomes safer and more comfortable, "said Dmitry Rachkov, head of the Aluminium Association’s Construction Sector.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
New apartment blocks featuring aluminium solutions have been designed and constructed since 2017. First, aluminium parts were used in construction of balconies and the first-floor facade glazing. The Aluminium Association and its partners facilitated the revision of the costing standards for the aluminium window blocks as well as and the prices for their installation. Due to their efforts, Moscow authorities allowed to install aluminium window blocks in residential and public buildings, and aluminium products were included in the Moscow Territorial Building Catalogue. After the Moscow Urban Development and Construction Complex approved the use of aluminium structures in the urban environment, the manufacturers started supplying their aluminium products to the construction sites of Moscow housing renovation.
