Moscow, November 22. The first all-Russian contest held by the Aluminium Association together with the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Industry and the Russian Union of Designers for the best design of aluminium furniture ended with the official awarding ceremony. The winners were congratulated in the Central Exhibition Complex 'Expocentre' in these days of the 30th International Exhibition 'Furniture, Accessories and Upholstery Materials' — 'Furniture-2018'. The IdeAL Interior contest was held from February to October 2018. The key ideas of the IdeAL Interior were involving experts and students of relevant universities in work with aluminium and developing personnel training, as well as the ability to create new products and revival of mass furniture production using the metal.
The contest participants were specialists of architectural and design bureaus, furniture and aluminum industries, students of relevant universities. The winner awarding ceremony included 3 categories: 'Chair using aluminium bearing structures', 'School furniture (sitting furniture, desk, pupil table)', and 'Aluminium in furniture, interior and accessories. The contest diplomas were also presented to Anton Chebakov for applying matrix wood cladded with sheet or foil of aluminium alloys, Wishnya object design studio for applying ALUPOR porous cast aluminium, and semi-finalists of the IdeAL Interior contest. Visitors of the exhibition can see the presentation mount of the Aluminium Association dedicated to the contest result. You can visit the mount until November 23 in pavilion No 8 hall 2.
'This contest for the best design of aluminium furniture became for us the next step in involving specialists, especially young engineers and designers, in work with aluminium.
