In response to the claims of the companies concerned by the cross-border delays in the cargo transportation across the EU, and upon the request of the Association, a requirement to facilitate the transit of materials directly or indirectly important for combating the pandemic was also included into the recommendations.

OVERVIEW OF OECD AND BIAC
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development was established in 1948. OECD is an international structure designed to develop recommendations to improve economic policy and quality of life around the world.
Established in 1962, the OECD Business and Entrepreneurship Advisory Council (BIAC) promotes policies that allow different companies to contribute to economic development. With the help of BIAC, business associations representing more than 7 million companies can exchange their experience, participate in OECD decision-making process and improve the global business environment.
The Aluminium Association became a full member of the BIAC Trade Committee in 2019.
