On April 2, 2019, RosBuild 2019, an international specialised exhibition of construction and finishing materials and technologies, was opened as part of the Russian Construction week. The Aluminium in Architecture and Construction 2019 International Forum (AlumForum) initiated by the Aluminium Association of Russia will first start its work as part of the exhibition.
The official opening ceremony of AlumForum will take place on April 3 in the Central Exhibition Complex 'Expocentre' (pavilion 8, hall 1). Start – at 10:30am.
The forum opening ceremony will be attended by:
Nikolay Shumakov, President of the Union or Architects of Russia: 'Aluminium was a key material for construction of Olympic facilities in Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games, for building of Moscow City Business Complex and Innopolis in Tatarstan. The Crystal Arena Ice Palace and Yenisei Stadium were constructed of aluminium for the 2019 World Winter Student Games in Krasnoyarsk. Traditionally, aluminium has been widely applied to construct passenger terminals of airports and Moscow subway stations: Maryina Roshcha, Ozernaya, Michurinsky Prospekt, Shelepikha, Savelovskaya, CSKA, etc.'
Valentin Trishchenko, Chairman of the Aluminium Association:
‘Due to its unique properties and characteristics, aluminium is an ideal material for construction. Low weight, corrosion resistance, and durability allow using it in a variety of architectural forms, constantly expanding the range of opportunities. An important advantage of the aluminium application in construction is the ability to create interesting design items that adorn modern cities.'
The initiator and founder of the Forum is the Aluminium Association of Russia that unites over 100 companies of the Russian industry, which account for more than 67% of the overall production of high value-added aluminium products.
Organisers of the Forum – Union of Architects of Russia and Union of Moscow Architects. General partner – RUSAL.
Strategic partners – Freestyle Technology and Technocom.
Supported by: Ministry of Construction of Russia, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Government of Moscow, R&D Centre for Construction, and Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences.
The Forum includes a business programme that covers 16 presentations, 10 round tables and 10 master classes in Expocentre with the participation of representatives of the world-famous architectural bureaus. More than 25 companies representing the advanced opportunities for applying aluminium in the urban environment, infrastructure and transport took part in the exhibition.
