MOSCOW, September 7, 2017 - Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) received materials on the non-compliance of aluminium disks with the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of wheeled vehicles". The information was provided by the Association of Aluminium Producers, Suppliers and Consumers (Aluminium Association) under the Cooperation Agreement. Materials include test reports conducted by the independent accredited laboratory ILKA-MADI LLC which showed negative results for the following products:
In accordance with the provisions of Article 39 of the Federal Law "On Technical Regulation", Rosstandart has sent an order to develop a programme of measures to prevent harm and submit it for approval to the agency, as well as an order to suspend the sale of these products to these organisations.
Let us recall that on July 30, 2017 amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences came into force - they introduced responsibility for the failure of organisations to fulfil the obligation to suspend the release and sale of products providing for sanctions for legal entities in the amount of up to RUB 500 thousand, and in case of repeated non-fulfilment - suspension of activities for up to 90 days with the confiscation of administrative offence items.
Rosstandart informs the consumers of the said products that their use can create a threat of harm to life and health of road users.
