Aluminium non-stick frying pans produced by Kukmara and Neva Metal Posuda, the member companies of the Aluminium Association, meet all the existing regulatory requirements as well as the Roskachestvo’s advanced standards. Such was the conclusion of the experts of the Russian Quality System (Roskachestvo) – the results of their multi-scale study were published on the organization’s website: https://rskrf.ru/ratings/tovary-dlya-doma/posuda/skovorodki/.
Roskachestvo experts tested 31 brands of aluminium non-stick frying pans. The test program included 34 indicators of quality, safety and labelling. The prices of tested goods ranged from 199 to 3090 roubles per item (with average price of 1257 roubles). Most of the pans (thirteen items) were made in Russia. Eleven pans were made in China, two in Italy, and one each in the Czech Republic, Indonesia, Austria and Ukraine. One of the pans had no indications of its origin.
The study suggested that in addition to Kukmara and Neva Metal Posuda, seven more brands were in compliance with all the current regulatory requirements. Moreover, four Russian brands, including Kukmara and Neva Metal Posuda, can qualify for the Russian Quality Mark. The products of Kukmara and Neva Metal Posuda received the highest possible score of 5 points due to their high quality performance: excellent non-stick properties, long service life, heat-resistant non-stick coating, etc. The resolution on awarding the Quality Mark will be made after a technical audit of the companies, which includes the assessment of the production localization.
Commenting on the results of the study, Natalya Kudenkova, head of the Customer Goods sector at the Aluminium Association, noted: “I was pleased to know that the products of the Association’s members had been highly evaluated by independent experts. However, I should say that all cookware made in Russia is safe and fully comply with all the mandatory requirements of national standards. In addition, the quality should be always be assessed comprehensively, based on the price to quality ratio”.
