Nizhny Novgorod, October 24. The Nizhny Novgorod region is one of the largest industrial regions in Russia with a large concentration of large-scale productions in such areas as mechanical engineering, automotive, aircraft, shipbuilding and others. These productions consume a large amount of metal and are ready to consider new projects, including innovative ones related to the consumption of aluminium. For example, the Nizhny Novgorod region is the first region where aluminum bridges were installed.
As part of efforts to increase the domestic consumption and deep processing of aluminium in Russian regions, the Aluminium Association organised a meeting in Nizhny Novgorod with relevant regional authorities, industry organisations, and industrial companies. The meeting was attended by the leaders of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship, the Ministry of Construction of the Nizhny Novgorod region, as well as representatives of automotive, construction, shipbuilding and other industrial companies of the region.
Major areas and projects implemented by the Aluminium Association were presented at the meeting. In particular, the emphasis was placed on the development of domestic consumption and the implementation of deep aluminium processing and import substitution projects. Following the discussion, thematic round tables were organised on certain areas, during which the prospects of cooperation in projects in the field of shipbuilding, construction, agriculture and automotive industry were discussed in detail.
