Innovative aluminium wires developed by Energoservis will be installed in August at PAO MOESK site located in Kolychevo district of the town of Kolomna, Moscow Region. The new wires will replace similar imported products.
The newest ANVP (aluminium non-thermally-treated high-strength) wire was developed by the specialists of Energoservis, LLC – one of the leading Russian companies in the field of innovation in the cable, rope, and non-insulated wire market. The wires were produced from 6101-t4 aluminium alloy supplied by RUSAL.
The efficiency of the ANVP wire was proven at the trial sites of PAO Rosseti as early as in 2015. An optimal mix of mechanical strength and electrical resistance of the alloy on one hand and the structures and technology of Energoservis on the other has made it possible to go without the steel core and in doing that to achieve better form factor and better conductivity of the wire.
"The aluminium wire created by us allows to reduce the wind, ice and vibration load during the refurbishment of the overhead power lines while keeping the old pylons, while ensuring better capacity and reducing the energy loss. Thanks to these new properties of the wire the service life of the existing pylons may be extended, and the cost of refurbishment and operation will be reduced", says the general director of Energoservis, LLC Victor Fokin.
The uniqueness of the wire's design and of the manufacturing technology has been proven by several patents issued in Russia and Germany. The product has already been used in the overhead power lines, serving as ground wire and the span wire of the railway overhead wire system. The designs that have been implemented are showing many advantages: a considerable increase in mechanical strength, vibration stability, self-damping of oscillations etc.
