Moscow, December 12. This year, about 250 hectares of new greenhouse complexes were put into operation in Russia, and in 2019, this figure is expected to reach 260 hectares. Such was the data presented at the signing ceremony for the Cooperation and Collaboration Agreement between the Aluminium Association and the Greenhouses of Russia Association. The Agreement was signed at the Energy Efficiency of Greenhouse Complexes seminar. The seminar looks at modern strategies and greenhouse climate control techniques, and is being held in Voronezh. The Agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Aluminium Association of Russia, Valentin Trischenko, and CEO of the Greenhouses of Russia Association, Natalia Rogova.
The signed document envisions cooperation between the two organisations in such areas as the creation of a database of national standards regulating the requirements for modern aluminium-based products for the agricultural sector and the harmonisation of the technical rules and regulations used in Russia with accepted international standards. The parties agreed to cooperate in creating conditions conducive to investments in agricultural production in Russia, as well as to join forces in efforts to reduce the technological dependence of the Russian agricultural sector on imports. As part of the Agreement, the two parties plan to work with public authorities, public organisations, research firms, construction and design companies, as well as other organisations in the agricultural sector.
"Our country is in great need of modern greenhouse complexes - on this measure we are sorely lagging behind many European and Asian countries. Cooperation with the Greenhouses of Russia will allow us to focus on solving the most relevant problems of the sector while significantly boosting the manufacture and introduction of domestically sourced greenhouses," Valentin Trischenko believes.
