Moscow, August 28 Update of obsolete standards in the field of tableware, harmonisation with international standards and the development of unified requirements for all Russian tableware producers will be the main goals of the Technical Committee for Standardisation No 147 "Metalware with coatings and without coatings". These areas of work were discussed during the first meeting of the Technical Committee at which the committee's action plan work for 3 years was reviewed.
Technical Committee 147 was established in accordance with the order of Rosstandart of July 4, 2017 No 1458. The field of standardisation of the Technical Committee includes table, kitchen and household products and parts thereof, including those made of aluminium. The chairman of the Technical Committee is Aleksandr Sheremetyev, the CEO of Neva Metal Posuda JSC, member of the Aluminium Association.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, FBI "The State Regional Centre for Standardisation, Metrology and Testing in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region", the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, the centre for Independent Consumer Expertise Foundation and the committee members, including the Aluminium Association, Alyuminy Metallurg Rus JSC, TD SKOVO LLC, etc.
The list of national and interstate standards to be developed or updated includes, among other things, GOSTs regulating the production of dishes made of sheet aluminium, aluminium alloys.
The meeting also discussed issues of cooperation with the adjacent technical committees TK 099 Aluminium, TK 297 Materials and Semi-finished Products from Light and Special Alloys and TK 367 Cast Iron, Rolling and Metalware as well as the signing of agreements with these technical committees.
Within the Technical Committee, there will be 3 subcommittees: "Tableware without coverings", "Tableware with enamel coating" and "Tableware with non-stick coating". The Aluminium Association will participate in the activities, and represent the interests of its members in each of these subcommittees.
