Moscow, November 3.Leaders of the Russian Aluminium Associations negotiated with leaders of the Japanese Aluminium Association in Tokyo. During the negotiations, the Japanese party was provided with detailed information about technology valleys created in Krasnoyarsk, Volgograd and the Republic of Khakassia, opportunities for placing production facilities therein, benefits and preferences granted to residents. In addition, the parties discussed issues relating to future cooperation of members of the Aluminium Association with Japanese consumer companies and prospects for joint production of automotive components in Russia.
The Japanese Aluminium Association was established in 1978. Its key activity areas are promoting the demand for aluminium and products on its basis, standardising, collecting and analysing strategic information, and developing cooperation with foreign public unions. The Association has 135 members that represent leading Japanese companies producing aluminium alloys, rolled products, extrusions, castings, as well as trade firms, etc.
'Japan has extensive experience in the production of aluminium products for various industries. Therefore, it is important for us to communicate with Japanese colleagues, among other things, with a view to exchange advanced technologies and develop cooperation,' said Valentin Trishchenko, Chairman of the Aluminium Association.
