Zhukovka, (Bryansk region), September 14. Issues of increasing the use of aluminium in the production of domestic bicycles, snowmobiles and ATVs were the main theme of the working trip of the Chairman of the Aluminium Association Valentin Trishchenko to Velomotors.
During the working trip, Valentin Trishchenko held a meeting with the management of the company where the areas of cooperation were outlined, as was the Association's assistance in attracting domestic companies as partners in the production and supply of aluminium semi-finished products required for the production of bicycles for Velomotors. To date, Velomotors is producing the first in Russia snowmobile "Ermak" with an aluminium frame and an independent lever suspension made of aluminium alloy. A number of components for bicycles made of aluminium are also produced, for example, wheel rims, and ATVs are assembled with domestic aluminium wheels and underbody protection. Particular attention was paid to the issue of increasing the use of aluminium in the production of domestic bicycle components. Velomotors is planning to significant increase the production of bicycle frames and trunks from aluminium.
Valentin Trishchenko inspected the production sites of the company, got acquainted with the production process. The company's leaders told the head of the Aluminium Association about their plans for the production development, which also includes expanding work with aluminium components.
Velomotors is the largest Russian producer of bicycles, as well as quad bikes and snowmobiles. At the moment, the company produces 25 models of bicycles, including bicycles for children. By the end of this year, a significant increase in the model range is planned. The current production of bicycles is 400 thousand a year.
