Maloyaroslavets (Kaluga region), November 14. Member of the Aluminium Association - AGRISOVGAZ launched the production of aluminium casting under the technology of vacuum-film moulding (VFM). The opening of the new shop will allow to create castings (finished products obtained by pouring molten aluminium into a special form) weighing from 2 to 80 kilograms with overall dimensions of not more than 1000 × 600 × 400 mm with the annual capacity of casting production of 600 tonnes.
VFM technology has a number of advantages, including the ability to create cast parts with walls of 4 mm and complex shapes. All stages of production before the final product output, which fully complies with the necessary regulations and standards, were shown during shop opening ceremony. VFM will allow reducing the cost of machining, will reduce the cost of casting while maintaining quality.

It is important that this technology of aluminium casting is capable of producing even small series that can outreach not only to large companies, but also the companies that are in the initial stage of growth,' - said the Chairman of the Aluminium Association, Valentin Trischenko, who took part in the ceremony of opening of the new workshop.
