An important event occurred in the Moscow Regional Duma last Friday, during which prospects for the development of a 'bicycle lifestyle' among the elderly were discussed.
Almost 7 million pensioners currently live in Moscow and its surrounds, including over 2 million in the Moscow Region. Many of them seriously care about their health, and are convinced that only a bicycle can help them maintain their vitality.
Thus, the current meeting of the Management Board for the Moscow Region Union of Pensioners was deemed as special, because the Cooperation Agreement was signed between the organisation and Velomotors, a well-known Russian group of companies. Olga Markova, Chairwoman of the Management Board, added her signature on behalf of the Union of Pensioners, and Vladimir Klenin, Deputy CEO for Public Relations and Mass Media, signed the document on behalf of the company.
The Cooperation Agreement has the important objective of promoting and popularising a healthy lifestyle among the elderly, with the help of wonderful bicycles made by Velomotors. The company's design bureau offered a folding bicycle model, Pilot 450, specially made for pensioners. It is reliable in operation, convenient for transportation by any mode of transport and comes at a low price.
A lot of interesting measures have been planned within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement. These include preparing and holding an unusual sports fest, together with the Moscow Region's Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, that will take place in Crocus-City in spring.
At the end of the meeting, Vladimir Klenin, Deputy CEO of Velomotors, presented a representative of the best Union of Pensioners organisation - that of Khimki - with a bicycle. Another wonderful bicycle was presented to the popular newspaper 'The Third Age' on the occasion of its anniversary.
