Aluminium, glass and wood were included in the list of materials permitted for use in construction of temporary sports sites built on land plots rented from the city under a simplified scheme. Such sites include recreational health complexes, soccer, golf and baseball fields, roofed and outdoor skating rinks as well as changing and inventory rooms. The main feature of such facilities is the lack of foundation, and the depth of their embedment does not exceed 0.5 m.
According to Rambler, citing the deputy mayor of Moscow for property and land relations Vladimir Efimov, the new rules will come into force in October. They affect the investors renting land from the city and operating nondomestic buildings. Efimov also noted that thanks to the simplified construction procedure, the city will feature more accessible sports facilities, and the investment attractiveness of the land will be increased.
Currently, aluminium is actively used in commercial construction, for instance, to create hardscape elements and sports facilities. Aluminium is a light and resilient metal that has long service life and is non-toxic. Up to 25% of all aluminium produced around the world is used in construction, in Russia this amounts to 220 – 230 thousand tonnes.
