The delegation of the Le Quy Don State University of Science and Technology (Vietnam, Hanoi) headed by Nguyen Cong Dinh, the chancellor, visited the Bauman University. During the visit, negotiations were held with representatives of the Bauman MSTU led by Vladimir Zimin, the first Vice-rector and Vice-rector for scientific work. The negotiations included the discussion and signing of contracts for educational programmes for students who start their education in the academic year 2019/2020, the reviewing of the plan for inviting lecturers from the Bauman MSTU to the Le Quy Don State University of Science and Technology to participate in the educational process and conducting joint research.
The guests were particularly interested in the experience of our university in the design, manufacture and operation of robots. The system for monitoring the condition of hull structures of vessels and underwater facilities was demonstrated, and the offshore robot being developed at Bauman MSTU was presented.
Following the negotiations, the working protocol and study contracts for 2019 were signed.
Le Quy Don State University of Science and Technology is the leading technical university in Vietnam. The university prepares specialists in more than 33 specialties. More than 9 thousand full-time students study at the university, with more than 800 lecturers.
Cooperation between Bauman MSTU and Le Quy Don University lasts for more than 10 years. During this period, more than 50 students in bachelor's, master's and postgraduate programmes have graduated from the Bauman MSTU. Some of them, after return to Vietnam, will continue to work in the Le Quy Don University.
