The Moscow Expocentre on Krasnaya Presnya hosted the ninth international active recreation exhibition Motowinter 2019.
Motowinter is the largest autumn motorcycle, ATV and snowmobile exhibition where companies present their latest and greatest ATVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles, scooters, equipment, spare parts, tuning solutions and all kinds of other products related to active recreation vehicles.
The exhibition is held on the last weekend of October when Moscow based motorcyclists close their cycling season. It is the last major event before a long lull and offers a great opportunity to pick and choose everything you need for winter maintenance, repairs and tuning as well as to get ideas about which new motorcycles, ATVs or snowmobiles to shop around for.
The motorcycle exhibition offered a lot to see for OFF-ROAD aficionados. The show's motorcycle focus very logically and gradually expanded to include ATVs and seeing how winter was coming, people also flocked to check out the snowmobiles that were on display as well.
While in the past the Motorwinter took place in the relatively remote Sokolniki centre, which while small had the benefit of familiarity, this time around, following in the footsteps of the Motospring, the exhibition moved closer to central Moscow and was held at the spacious Expocentre pavilion on Krasnaya Presnya.
The pavilion was full of glitter coming off the fresh lacquer and chrome of new bikes, smiles of hot models, the bright light of searchlights and booming dance music.
A street programme is a mandatory element of motorcycle exhibitions. This time it was the flying bikes of the Ferz FMX freestyle team that were wowing the audiences on the square in front of the Expocentre. Their stunts looked especially breathtaking against a backdrop of the Moscow City skyscrapers.
Guests of the exhibition got to ride as well. Motorodeo rides were offered by Gymkhana Moscow as well as test drivers for new Ural motorcycles, Zero e-motorcycles and even Z&D Barkhan snowmobiles.
On the last good days of autumn the Motorwinter closed the motorcycle season in style. And the next season will be opened with the next exhibition Motospring 2020.
