RUSAL (HKex code 486, MOEX RUAL), one of the largest aluminium producers in the world, announces additional safety measures because of the unfavourable epidemiologic situation to prevent life and health risks amidst on-going production. Starting from March 17, the Company announced working from home for as many employees as possible at productions and in the Head Quarters and maintaining business uninterrupted.
Working in office is allowed only in exceptional cases to do the job, which cannot be done from home. Employees working from home are recommended to refrain from visiting public places. Everyone on a business trip has to return home immediately. There is a stand still on new business trips. All communications, meetings and discussions should be by phone. Employees on duty, who go to office, have a full set of antivirus protection available to them.
Employees essential for production stay at work to ensure business continuity. At the same time the Company does everything possible to provide maximum protection to its personnel on the production floor. Productions will carry out additional disinfection; medical stations operate in high alert.
