The funds can be used to purchase seedlings of trees and shrubs, as well as the materials and tools necessary for their planting.
– We are holding the Green Wave projects contest for the second year in a row. In 2017, 156 projects were accepted into the contest, 78 of these initiatives were supported, to the total amount of RUB 700,000. This year, we took into account the high popularity of the programme among city dwellers and decided to make the contest more ambitious. Firstly, we significantly extended its geographical spread, and secondly, we have increased grant amounts from RUB 10,000 to RUB 50,000. We are sure that interested people participating in the contest will be able to transform their hometowns and make them greener, cleaner and more comfortable, says Vera Kurochkina, Deputy CEO of RUSAL.
Administration and organisational support of the programme will be carried out by UC RUSAL's Social Programmes Centre (SPC). For more information on the competition, please visit www.fcsp.ru.
