In total, about 70 leading employees of NAMI Institute were awarded.
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin awarded a large group of employees of the Moscow Scientific & Research Automotive and Engine Institute NAMI for a major contribution to implementation of the Unified Modular Platform project that allowed creating a wide model line of domestic vehicles.
Relevant decree of the President was published at the legal information platform on Monday.
In 2013, the government instructed NAMI to develop a vehicle for the country's leaders. This institute was chosen as the sole contractor of the state order for implementation of the 'pilot project for development and manufacturing of domestic cars based on a unified modular platform, providing the creation of vehicles intended for transportation and escorting of top public officials, as well as other persons subject to state protection'.
Honourary certificates and thanks were provided to around 70 leading employees of the institute who participated in creation of the Cortege car and bike line. It is not only about the limousine for the President, but also several models that will have a common technical filling. The Unified Modular Platform will be applied to create sedans, crossovers and minibuses, which will be used to accompany the country's leaders, as well as will be in disposal of Russian senior state officials.
