The Bauman University was visited by Liliya Gumerova, the Chairwoman of the Science, Education and Culture Committee of the Federation Council.
Anatoly Aleksandrov, President of the University, demonstrated scientific and educational centres, told the guest about the history of the University, the current scientific achievements and modern engineering education.
Ms Gumerova met young scientists of the University, their developments, and asked the President about cooperation with post-graduates and legislative imperfections in the area. On her tour around the University the senator was taken to the department proving studies for deaf students and those who have hearing problems. She was briefed on the specifics of such education and the methods developed by the University.
‘Material and technical resources are not the only thing we need. Teachers and teaching methods are critical,’ said Anatoly Aleksandrov. The Senator knows about the scientific school by joint projects of the University and the Federation Council. Liliya Gumerova stressed one more time that investments in education of disabled students and thanked the University for its flagship efforts.
