Samara, April 21, 2017 - Production of aluminum drill pipes with a hot-lock lock for the largest drilling companies of the country started at the Samara Metallurgical Plant. The first batch of pipes manufactured for the Siberian Service Company (SSC), one of the leaders of the Russian oilfield services market, was sent for field trials to the Western Siberia on the Tagrinskoye field.

The Samara pipes are to pass a real quality control in all respects: the wear rate of the wall thickness, the diameter of the coupling and the tool-joint pin, and others. The specific nature of the fields in the Western also sets its increased requirements for the characteristics of the pipes,' says Andrei Smuglov, Head of the Property Management Department of JSC SSC. - These tests should confirm the compliance of the Arkonik SMZ pipes with the industry standards.'
