On May 4, the Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a round table on: 'Strengthening fire safety measures at commercial real estate facilities'. At the event, representatives of the state fire supervision, Ministry of Emergencies and top managers of large and medium businesses of Perm discussed issues of strengthening fire safety measures to prevent tragedies in public places.
Kama Cable LLC was represented by Alexander Azanov, Deputy Chief Process Engineer. He talked about the situation in the market of cable and conductor products, possible risks relating to usage of poor quality products, and how to choose and check purchased cables and wires correctly.
‘Statistics show that almost every third fire occurs due to violations of electric safety rules. This is caused not only by worn-out electric grids, but also by applying cables and wires of poor quality. To mitigate the risk of fires, you should carefully check purchased products – a counterfeit can be identified even by checking documents in 80% of cases. When you have suspicions, we recommend contacting the closest testing centre’, said Alexander Azanov.
