November 21, 2019, Pavel Moryakov, Moskabelmet CEO and Andrey Spiridonov, Aripix Robotics CEO signed an agreement to deliver and install Aripix A1 robots.
The Aripix A1 industrial robot will be installed at one of the production facilities of GC Moskabelmet by the end of December 2019 and will replace four workers that are currently having to manually load metal into a melting furnace, a harmful and very hard job. The workers will be retrained and employed elsewhere while the robot will expedite the process and ensure uninterrupted delivery of raw materials at the same pace, which should have a positive impact on the quality of the finished products and ultimately improve customer satisfaction. And the company's customers include leading Russian and foreign companies such as: SC Rosatom, Moscow Metro, Mosgortrans, Gazprom, Norilsk Nickel as well as ABB and Siemens.
'The introduction of Aripix A1 in a key production process is the first step towards automating the production facilities of the group. It will allow us to reduce the negative impact on personnel health as well as costs while also allowing us to improve product quality and increase output at the same time. Thus, GC Moskabelmet is making every effort today to supply reliable and long-serving products to those companies that the security and quality of life in this country depend on,' GC Moskabelmet CEO Pavel Moryakov stressed.
'Aripix A1 can move up to 50 tonnes of metal per day without interruptions, which is a lot more than any human is capable of. The robot is equipped with machine vision cameras that ensure precision in the gripping of raw materials and simplify the debugging of the robot and the training of personnel operating it. Aripix A1 is also equipped with a heat resistant grip and can operate at temperatures of between -30C and +70C. The automation of one process will inevitably lead to the automation of the entire production chain and that will enable GC Moskabelmet to take its production operations to a whole new level by following the main technology trend of the 21st century. The fourth industrial revolution has now spread to all forward-looking companies around the world and automation of production processes has now become a prerequisite for any company that wants to remain a market leader,' believes Andrey Spiridonov, founder and CEO of Aripix Robotics.
