KraMZ received guests in the framework of the educational expedition "Krasnoyarsk: from the pillars to the dam" again.
This year, pupils participated in the industrial quest at KraMZ twice with different compositions. Groups of 25-30 schoolchildren came from the Irkutsk region, the Republics of Khakassia and Tuva, the Trans-Baikal Territory, Krasnoyarsk and Divnogorsk.
In this unique expedition, KraMZ became the second industrial facility after the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station. During the excursion, the schoolchildren visited the smelting and forging and pressing shops where they were told about the equipment operation and technological processes. They also visited the environmental monitoring laboratory, but first they collected waste water samples. In the laboratory, the young lab assistants conducted their own research to determine water quality at the production facility - the indicators were within the range. After each unit, the children solved problems which required wit and knowledge of the exact sciences.
Then the pupils made a flashlight running on alternative sources of electricity under the guidance of specialists of the Training and Production Centre "Progress". During 2.5 hours, the schoolchildren calculated physical formulas, did mathematical calculations, cut out the details on the machines, and then they themselves constructed a LED flashlight.
The main environmental part of the session was held in the state nature reserve "Stolby".
