The vehicles are designed to provide medical care and transport emergency patients. To ensure comfortable working conditions for medical personnel, each Gazelle NEXT car is equipped with swivel chairs and soft seats with three-point seat belts for accompanying persons, additional light, sockets, battery, and sound insulation system. Andrey Gneushev, Deputy Governor of the Nishny Novgorod region:
— 'The ambulance vehicle fleet in the Nishny Novgorod region is undergoing a systematic renewal. Today we handed over the keys of 19 vehicles, in the near future we are planning to provide 24 more. It is necessary that residents are provided with emergency medical care in all places of the Nishny Novgorod region. Medical professionals themselves say that vehicles are getting better every year, both in terms of technical characteristics and equipment. Of course, in such conditions it is more comfortable for both medical staff and patients'.
Andrey Safonov, Managing Director of the GAZ plant:
— 'Providing hospitals and ambulance stations with comfortable and safe vehicles is an important national task, and I am glad that GAZ is one of the key suppliers in this direction. We have tried to make vehicles as comfortable as possible for patients and medical personnel, while maintaining the traditional advantages of the GAZ brand — functionality, good cross-country ability, ease of operation and low cost'.
